Who is Jesus?

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 7: 14
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16

Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,
And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and show John again those things which ye do hear and see:
The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. Matthew 11: 2-5

At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. Matthew 12:1-2
For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day. Mattew 12:8

13 Now when Jesus came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Who do men say that the Son of man is?
14 And they said, Some [say] John the Baptist; some, Elijah; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But who say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jonah: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 16
31And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?John 7

There is a purpose behind every creation

One can creat a world's most advanced camera, but cannot make it sees by itself.

A human eye is consist of different parts, like conjunctiva, len, vitreous body, retina, rods and cones.

If the human eye is as a result of evolution, can you imagine a certain part will exist for millions of years without any function, waiting for the other parts to come together to constitute an organ with a purpose which they never visualize before?

If the diffierent parts are evolved at the same time, did they came together previously to come out with an organ with a function they never visualize?

If light can stimulate the evolution of sight, how come not every thing exposed to sunlight will evolve eyes? What is the purpose of seeing?

There must be a purpose behind every creation. The eyes are created to see; the hear for hearing; the nose to breathe.

The world is created for human beings because HE loves us.

What are we created for?

"When I look at the sky, which you have made, at the moon and the stars which you set in their places---What is man, that you think of him; mere man that you care for him? Yet you made him inferior only to yourself; you crowned him with glory and honour. You appointed him ruler over everything you made; you placed him over all creation: sheep and cattle, and the wild animals too; the birds and the fish and the creatures in the seas. O LORD, our Lord, your greatness is seen in all the world!" Psalms 8:3-9

WYBINWYS (What you believe is not what you see!)

1. We often think that we will not believe in anything unless we can verify it with all our senses, especially through the visual sense. But most of the times we do not practice this in many aspects of our life:
1.1 We have not been to Africa, but we believe Africa does exists.
1.2 We study mathematics, and believe in the formulae that the teachers teach us.
1.3 A business man will send goods to the buyer upon receiving the cheque, even though he has not received the actual money. He believes in the cheque.
1.4 When we send a letter, we believe that it will reach the destination, even though we do not know the receiver.
1.5 We believed that some great people did exist in the history, even though we never see them.

2. It may be a normal practice to verify through our senses before we believe in something. But sometimes we do not even know for sure whether our senses are reliable. We are just believing our judgements are correct.

3. Some of the hypotheses were being incorporated into the textbooks, they often start with "millions of years ago..... where were you by then? Yet you firmly believe what were being taught in the school.

4. Those believe in evolution who believed that living beings are originated from a "fire cloud" billions of years ago have to believe two probabilities:
4.1 This object exists from the beginning. This object later on will come out with thinking abilities.
4.2 Materials did not exist at the beginning. Thinking exists before them. This is the very belief endorsed by those who believe in creation.

5. We all believed in somethings without prior seeing them for ourselves. But this does not mean that we can simply believe in anything. When we saw some foot prints, we believed that somebody has passed by there. If we say the footprints are formed spontaneously through time, it is believing without careful thinking.

6. God has left many footprints in this world, so that it is very hard for us not to believe in HIM.

7. God is there no matter the human beings he created believe it or not. Just like the air we breath is there no matter we believe it or not.

Tomorrow lies in the hand of God

"Now listen to me, you that say, "Today or tomorrow we will travel to a certain city, where we will stay a year and go into business and make a lot of money."
You don't even know what your life tomorrow will be! You are like a puff of smoke, which appears for a moment and then disappears.
What you should say is this: " If the Lord is willing, we will live and do this or that. "

--James 4: 13-15

Do you believe in evolution?

If you believe in evolution. Can you answer the following questions?
1) How do you explain the orderliness of the vast universe?
2) How do you explain the complexity of our body ?
3) When you encountered an unexpected happening, the first exclaimation that come out of your mouth is: Oh my God; mum;heaven; or, Oh my evolution?

Stop worrying, start thanksgiving!

The prerequisite for worrying is life.
If you keep worrying about other things else of the future, you should be very sure that God will give you life tomorrow.
If you have to worry, you should worry about whether you will live to see the light of tomorrow.
So, stop worrying now, start thankgivings for today, pray for tomorrow!

When you worry, you tried to play God yourself. The further you worry, the more you think you can predict the future.
"but as it is written, Things which eye saw not, and ear heard not, And which entered not into the heart of man, Whatsoever things God prepared for them who love him. "1 Corinthians 2 :9

Does God exist ?

Below are the most frequently asked questions of the unbelievers.

1) If God created the universe, who created HIM ?

1.1 ) There is no beginnning of God and there is no ending. Just like we do not know where is the beginning of a circle, yet we always believe that a circle exists.

1.2 ) An ant will never understand a human being.

1.3) We will know to the extend that God reveals.

1.4) If we fully understand God, we will be gods ourselves.

" For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse: " Romans 1:20

" God said,"I am who I am." Exodus 3:14

"for in him we live, and move and have our being;" Acts 17:28

7) Take one or two tablets of calcium magnesium may help to calm you down.

8) Do not sleep with light on, as this may reduce the level of melatonin necessary to induce sleeping.

Overcoming fear of failure

1. It is alright to fail, since we are not perfect
1.1 Everybody makes mistakes
1.2 We can never be perfect by our own effort since the fall of man.
1.3 We can only try our best to get things done, and hope for the best.

2. Do not quit before trying
" Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still" (Exod. 14: 13-14)

3. Learn from mistakes
3.1 There are bound to be some positive aspects of the results depending on how you look at them.
3.2 If you need 100 attempts to reach a solution. The more times you failed, the more you found out what are the wrong ways and the higher chances that you will find the right ways.

4. Face the consequences bravely, live with imperfectism. even though
4.1 others may laugh at you.
4.2 others may not like you.
4.3 look down on you.

5. Ask for help from God for widom and strength for you attempt.
5.1 Have faith in God during difficult time.
5.2 Be God centered and doing in His will.

How to overcome fear of rejection ?

Remember:
1. No one is perfect
1.1 You do not have to be pefect to be accepted by others.
1.2 You do not have to be accepted by everybody, there are bound to be someones out there who dislike you.
Accept this as a fact!

2 Know who you are.
2.1 'Do you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your body" 1 Cor.6: 19-20
2.2 We are created in the image of God.

3 It may not be your fault
3.1 When a person acts in a rejecting manner, it may not be your fault.
3.1.1 It may be that he is in a bad mood.
3.1.2 He is a sarcastic or critical person.
3.1.3 He misunderstood you.

4 Think positively
4.1 Find out if there is any truth in their criticisms and learn from your mistakes.
4.2 If it is not true, just ignore it.

" Secure in God' love, I will not surrender my self worth to the opinions and judgements of thers. When I am rejected, I will not retaliate; when I am hurt, I will allow God to heal me. And knowing the pain of rejection, I will seek to love those who suffer from its anguish." --Lloyd Ogilvie

How to overcome fear ?

What are the most common fears:
1. Fear of rejection.
2. Fear of Failure.
How to overcome fears ?
1. Through taking risks. Stop catastrophising, stick your neck out and take some risks.
1.1 The more you are exposed to the supposed fearful situations, the more you will get used to them.
1.2 You will risk rejection or failure or criticisms, for a better life, they are all the prices we have to pay.
1.3 If you choose to live one day in ten years' time, please avoid the risky situations at all time and at all costs.
1.4 If you invest in nothing, you reap nothing.
1.5 If you sow avoidance, you reap loneliness and boredom.
1.6 Do not run away from your fear, face it bravely.

2 Rationalise your thinking
2.1 Before we start to become fearful, we will go through the following process:
a) Something is happening
b) We tell ourself that this is terrible and can bring about serious consequences
c) We start to feel fearful or start worrying.
2.2 To stop worrying or being fearful we must tell ourself:
2.2.1 Remember that most of the time what your fear is not as serious as what you think.
2.2.2 Even the situation is not very pleasant, you do not have to be worrying about it or focus on it.
2.2.2.1 We are not consistent in our fears, because we tend to ignore many other greater fears .
2.2.3 Worrying will accomplish nothing but will aggravate the situation.
2.2.4 If you worry, you sin, because you do not trust in the Lord
2.2.5 Many Isrealis died in the wilderness during old testament time, because they did not trust in the promise of God. They started to feel fearful and could not stop grumbling while they faced difficulties. Their minds were centered on the seriousness of the problems, instead of on the power of God

3 Face your fear in a gradual manner.
3.1 You have been in this situation for many years, do not think that you can recover overnight.
3.2 Tackle your fear slowly, step by step.

4.0 Practice positive thinking, the more you practice negative thinking, the more likely that it will happen.
You will then convince your self that you are right to be fearful or worry.

5.0 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe (Proverbs 29:25)

Monday, September 05, 2005

How to win over worry ?

1) List down all your worries, and find out what is the possibility that they will happen.
2) Count your blessings.
" I had the blues because I had no shoes. Until upon the street I met a man who had no feet"
3) Care for others instead of only mining one's own bussiness. (practice altruism)

4) Live one day at a time.
" Let not the griefs of the past and worries of the future spoilt your day"
" So do not worry about tommorrow; it will have enough worries of its own. There is no need to add to the troubles each day brings" Matthew 6: 34

5) Trust in the LORD with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the LORD in everything you do, and he will show you the right way Proverbs 3: 5-6

6) " I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me; he freed me from all my fears. "Psalm 34: 4
" Don't worry over anything whatsoever; tell God every detail of your needs in earnest and thankful prayer, and the peace of God, which transcends human understanding, will keep constant guard over your hearts and minds as they rest in Christ Jesus. philippians 4: 6

7) Worry will not bring you any benefits, most of the time,it worsen your health and confuse your mind necessary for making good judgements .
" A happy heart is a good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries the bones "Prov. 17:12
8) Trust in the words of God and hold fast to the promise. If you worry, you make God a liar.
9) We think and plan and thought that we are very clever or can make good conclusions through logic thinking. But the future lies in the hands of God.
10) If there is a reason for worrying, you should be worrying everyday, because you never know whether you will live to see the sun of tomorrow. If you worry beside this one, you are thinking that you can live 100 years old.
11) Find out what are your worries; if there is nothing that we can do about it , worry will only make the matter worse. If you can do something about it, by all mean, so something to improve it.
12) Find out what is the most important thing in your life. Is the thing that you keep worrying that important to you so that you keep concentrating on it ?
13) The process of worrying is more energy draining or distressing than the actual happening. Even the problem is serious as what we anticipate, we can still rely on God to help us.
14) Focus on solutions instead of the problem; Focus on the greatness of God instead of the serious of the problem
" You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind is stayed on You." Isaiah 26: 3
"And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will show to you today"--Exodus 14:13
"And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm." --Matthew 8:26
15) Practice surrender and relax
" Leave all your worries with him, because he cares for you" 1 Peter 5: 7
" Give yourself to the Lord; trust in him, and he will help you" Psalm 37: 5
16)Follow the will of God.
'For God did not give us a spirit of timidlity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self discipline" 2Tim 1:7

What is the meaning of life ?

Some people live to eat, some people eat to live. What is the meaning of life ? Or put is as what is the most important thing in life. For most, it is of self gratifications. It is about how to make oneself and his/her family happy. So they tried very hard just to earn the extra bugs so that they can buy the best foods to enjoy, put on the best clothes, buy good cars; living in the luxurious houses. Later on when they have more money, they will travelling round the world enjoying the new food and sceneries that they can not find in their own countries . They real up children, giving them the best education and other facilities. Then they pass on their properties to their children. This is all about life.

Yet the actual meaningful life lies in able to help others to live a meaningful lives. You can only do this, if you have God dwelling in your heart. And the biggest end in life is to glorify God. This is all the motivations behind.

How do we call this era ?

This is the era of confused value.
" There is no such thing as right or wrong, there are only differences"
So people with this value think they can do anything they want.
They thought there is no absolute truth.
